  Meetings cut down to twice a week....

  i heard that they are planning to cut meetings down to twice a week and the book study will become part of the school and service meeting...any one else hear about this?.

  My old cong. 10 years ago: 45 pubs, 4 elders.
  Now: 15 pubs, 0 elders.

  is that cuz the cong split once it grew? or did it slowly loose its members?

  Do they still call you "for your time" for this month?

  we got woke up this morning (again) by a call from one of the elders or his ms assistant, looking for "our time report" for this past month.

  i've been out for over two years (faded), my wife and the kids haven't attended hardly any meetings since the memorial... talk about clueless.

  no "shepherding calls" on her (thank goodness!

  I've been 'inactive' for 2 years in May..... My husband still goes to most meetings and in service (I attend meetings very rarley) But ya they stoped asking me about after 6 months cuz I'm pretty sure 6 mths is when your officially considered inactive.

  NEVER get gifts from my hubby!!

  so tomorrow is my 9th yr anniversary and my hubby (semi-active jw) has never bought me anything for our anniversary.

  he may have gotten me a card once or twice.

  last year i gave him cufflinks and told him i was getting him something 3 days before our anni.

  Wow I cant beleive how many of you took the time to reply...thanks soo much for the support. Just to follow up, the night before he made a comment suggesting to expect nothing as he had planed to take me to a new restaurant for dinner but after driving by it 2gether we both thought it looked a little dingy. So after the comment he made I said " Are you telling me to expect nothing for our anniversary?" To which he hesitantly replied... 'no'. The next morning (day of anni) he got up early went to an engraving store and got me a bracelet. I am glad he did although it still felt really forced. I'm not hard to please I just wish I was married to someone who WANTED to do something nice for me every so often. Oh well.... 9 years and going.

  So tomorrow is my 9th yr Anniversary and my hubby (semi-active JW) has never bought me anything for our anniversary. He may have gotten me a card once or twice. Last year I gave him cufflinks and told him I was getting him something 3 days before our anni. Still nothing! This caused a huge fight started by me obviously. I have a good feeling tomorrow will be the same scenerio. So I wanna know What is up with men raised as JW's? Is this common cuz no other occations get celebrated? Or is my man unique?
